Mini Review – The Conundrum of Sea Salt Oh Sea Salt.

Your food is so good but the portions are SOOOO tiny. Don’t get me wrong, they make excellent food but damn if their entrees aren’t the size of appetizers. With the exception of their fish banh mi, everything just feels so small for the price you are getting. We’ve been to Sea Salt in San Pablo Avenue a few times, once by ourselves, once with a college friend of J’s and once with my sister, her boyfriend and my brother. A seafood restaurant with restrained touches of Asian influences, the quality of the seafood is excellent, especially the calamari which is incredibly tender. I adore the flavor of the Dungeness crab cake served on top of a celery root remoulade. J’s had their version of a Vietnamese Banh mi, which was excellent. But for $15, can you give us a little more than a tablespoons size portion of crab cake? We had their salt cod croquettes, and for $9 got two. I can’t make any complaints about the flavor and quality of the food but the portions are downright stingy.
